How do I register an account?

Registration is very simple:
  1. Click the "Login" button in the top right corner of the website
  2. Authorize login on the Steam page
  3. Bind your email address
  4. (Optional) Bind your phone number
  5. Download and install the WOW Skins extension
Note: We don't need your Steam password, only Steam authorization. The extension is necessary for trading, and email is used for notifications.

What is a trade link? How do I get one?

A trade link is a unique link Steam generates for each user. With this link, we can send you trade offers directly without adding you as a friend. Everyone's trade link is unique.
After installing the WOW Skins extension, you don't need to manually bind your trade link — the WOW Skins browser extension will automatically obtain and bind it for you.

What is the WOW Skins browser extension? Why do I need to install it?

The WOW Skins extension is used to automatically execute operations related to skin trading, including:
  • Automatically syncing your Steam inventory
  • Automatically accepting or initiating trade offers
  • Displaying availability status of skins you can sell
  • Automatically completing the delivery process when orders are completed on the market
Without the extension, these steps would require you to manually open Steam and manually confirm each offer, making the trading experience very slow and easy to miss price fluctuations.
The extension's purpose is to automate these operations, allowing you to "complete transactions with one click."

Why does the extension need to read my Steam Cookie?

To enable skin trading functionality, our extension needs to use a Cookie named steamRefresh_steam to verify your Steam login status.
Since Steam doesn't provide an official third-party trading API, this Cookie is a necessary credential for implementing automatic trading, allowing us to complete trading operations on your behalf with your authorization.
Scope of steamRefresh_steam Cookie:This Cookie only authorizes us to access the following data and functions directly related to trading:
  • Retrieve your trade offers list
  • Send, confirm, or cancel trade offers on your behalf
  • Verify Steam Guard security status
  • Check account trading restrictions (such as cooldown periods, trade holds, etc.)
Technical Safeguards:Our system architecture is specifically designed to ensure:
  • Cookie is only used for the above trading-related functions
  • Technically unable to access other data in your Steam account
  • Won't read your friends list, chat history, game inventory (non-trading related parts), etc.
  • All access permissions are strictly limited to trading functionality
Our Commitment: The WOW Skins system is designed from a technical level to only access data necessary to complete transactions — this is not just our promise, but an inherent limitation of our system architecture.

Can I revoke Cookie authorization at any time?

Absolutely. You have complete control and can revoke authorization for the steamRefresh_steam Cookie at any time.
Revocation Method: Send an email to: support@wowskins.market
In the email, please provide:
  • Your WOW Skins account ID
  • Associated Steam profile link
  • Statement that you need to revoke Cookie authorization
We will within 48 hours:
  • Delete your steamRefresh_steam Cookie stored on our servers
  • Revoke all access permissions for the extension on the system side

What happens after revoking Cookie authorization?

After revoking authorization:

How do I protect my account security?

Can I close my account?

Yes. According to GDPR/CCPA data protection regulations, you have the right to request account closure and data deletion. Please contact customer service at support@wowskins.market to apply for account closure.

Why is my account restricted from trading?

Common reasons: Please refer to Steam's official help documentation to understand why your account is restricted.

What is KYC (identity verification)?

KYC (Know Your Customer) is the identity verification process. According to regional regulatory requirements, KYC completion is required when using certain payment methods (such as bank transfers).
We securely process KYC verification through our partner Veriff, with all data encrypted in storage. You can complete KYC verification on the settings page.

Why is KYC needed?

KYC identity verification is a legal requirement for financial regulation, primarily to:

How do I complete KYC?

  3. Follow the page instructions to photograph your valid ID (passport or national ID card)
  4. Complete facial recognition to confirm the ID matches you
  5. Submit and wait for review (usually completed within minutes)

  • Ensure you operate in a well-lit environment with a clear camera
  • Uploaded documents must be unexpired with clear, unobstructed information
  • Keep a natural expression during facial recognition; avoid masks, sunglasses, or obstructions
  • KYC certification results are automatically reviewed by Veriff - we cannot manually bypass or expedite
  • If verification fails, please recheck document status and photo clarity before trying again

If your country isn't on the supported list, this is due to WOW Skins' service capacity limitations or anti-fraud and anti-money laundering rules temporarily not being open. If you'd like us to add your country or region to the supported list, please contact WOW Skins customer service at support@wowskins.market with your request, but please note your request may be declined.

What if KYC is rejected?

For security reasons, we typically don't provide detailed rejection reasons. To comply with privacy protection requirements, we don't view your personal documents and sensitive information. If you believe the KYC result is incorrect, you can contact customer service at support@wowskins.market.

How many KYC attempts do I have?

Normally, you have two KYC attempts. If you fail KYC twice, you won't be able to initiate KYC again.
If you have concrete evidence proving the failure was due to an error by the KYC verification service, you can contact us to appeal. If your appeal is successful, we'll give you one additional KYC opportunity.
If you still haven't passed KYC after three attempts, your account will be permanently banned — please note this is the final result.

Can I transfer balance between accounts?

No. WOW Skins explicitly prohibits transferring balance between accounts. We have automatic detection systems — attempting to bypass this rule will result in a permanent ban.

Why would my account be banned?

The following behaviors may result in account ban:
  1. Canceling trades, whether you're a buyer or seller
  2. Initiating chargebacks without communicating with WOW Skins customer service
  3. Selling skins from accounts you don't own (selling skins from stolen accounts)
  4. Deposits from multiple unrelated accounts or abnormally complex transaction chains
  5. Using stolen cards or bank accounts
  6. Frequent IP changes attempting to hide your real location
  7. Using false identity information or forged documents and identities
  8. Multiple KYC failures
  9. Repeatedly using cards and bank accounts from countries and regions we don't support
  10. Buying/selling WOW Skins platform account balances, intermediary payments
  11. Using WOW Skins for money laundering and criminal activities
  12. Multiple user complaints about your account
  13. Sending wrong skins to buyers
  14. Suspicious trading behavior, including but not limited to: abnormally frequent large fund movements, repeated transactions with flagged accounts
  15. Abusing platform features, exploits, or script/bot operations
  16. Other fraudulent behavior or violations of platform terms of use or community rules

Can I appeal if I'm banned?

Yes. If you believe you were wrongly banned, you can contact customer service at support@wowskins.market to appeal. Please note we may reject your appeal request.

What is reverse verification?

While fully protecting your privacy, WOW Skins allows you to verify within 7 days after transaction completion whether an order has been canceled by clicking "reverse verification" on the order page. Either party canceling will result in permanent account ban.

Buyer Guide

How do I buy skins?

■ Confirm and purchase (pay with account balance - ensure your wallet has sufficient balance)

■ Wait for seller to send skin

How long after purchase will I receive the skin?

Typically, WOW Skins sellers will send skins within 1 hour.
Once you purchase a skin, there are two scenarios for delivery:
  • The WOW Skins extension will automatically send a trade offer to the seller on your behalf to claim the skin. No action is required from you.
  • If the seller doesn't accept the offer within 30 minutes, you can choose to cancel the order.
If the seller fails to send within the specified time, the transaction will automatically cancel and balance will be refunded to your account.

What if the seller doesn't send the skin?

If the seller hasn't accepted the offer within 30 minutes, you can choose to cancel the order.
If the seller fails to send within the specified time, the transaction will automatically cancel and balance will be refunded to your account.

Transaction stuck pending?

Normally, transaction processing usually takes within 1 hour.
If it times out:
  1. Refresh the page
  2. Check Steam notifications
  3. Contact customer service for follow-up

Can I cancel an order I've purchased?

If the seller hasn't accepted the sale within 30 minutes, you can choose to cancel the order.

What if I receive the wrong skin?

If you receive the wrong skin, please contact customer service within 7 days of receiving the skin. We'll do our best to help you recover the loss.

What if stickers are scraped?

We use intelligent transaction verification mechanisms to try to avoid this situation, but it still can't be completely prevented. We recommend carefully checking whether stickers have been scraped before receiving skins to avoid such losses.
If stickers weren't scraped before purchase but you received a skin with scraped stickers, please contact customer service within 7 days. We'll do our best to help you recover the loss.

What if the seller reverses the transaction?

In some cases, sellers may reverse the skin you purchased on Steam. Within 7 days after transaction completion, we'll continuously check whether the trade has been canceled. Once a seller initiates a reversal, the skin you purchased will be returned to the seller's Steam inventory, and correspondingly, the account balance you paid for the skin will be refunded to your account. As punishment, the seller will be permanently banned from WOW Skins.
We believe seller reversals cause serious losses to buyers and are actively developing measures to address seller trade cancellations. Please give us some time.

Can I reverse a transaction?

We strongly advise against this. Once you reverse a purchase, you won't receive the purchased skin, will lose the purchase balance, and your account will be permanently banned from WOW Skins.

Seller Guide

Can I sell skins for real money?

Yes! Unlike the Steam Community Market where you can only get Steam Wallet balance, on WOW Skins after selling skins, you can withdraw to a bank card or other withdrawal methods we support.

How do I become a seller?

Visit the "Sell skins" page — the system will inform you of the rules. You can then choose to bind your phone number so we can send skin sale and withdrawal notifications.
Before starting to sell, please ensure:
  • Trade link is set
  • Steam inventory privacy settings are "Public"
  • Account status is normal

How do I sell skins?

Selling Process:
  1. List skins — Go to "Sell" page — Select skins to sell — Set price — Click "List"
  2. Wait for buyers — skins immediately display on the market — You'll receive notification after buyer purchases
  3. Accept sale and send skin — Confirm accepting offer in mobile authenticator — Transaction completes
After skins are transferred to the buyer, it takes 8 days for payment to reach your WOW Skins withdrawable balance. Within 7 days, payment will be temporarily frozen to avoid any possible cancellation risks.

Why does it take 8 days to withdraw proceeds?

This is due to Steam's "Trade Hold skins" mechanism, which allows trade cancellation during this period. This waiting period is to prevent fraud and protect both parties' security.

What is the seller fee?

WOW Skins charges 2% of the sale price as a platform fee, which is deducted when the skin is sold.
If fractional cents result, they're rounded up to the next cent. For example, a $0.03 skin will have a $0.01 fee.

How long until I receive cash?

After skins are transferred to the buyer, it takes 8 days for payment to reach your WOW Skins balance.
After it arrives, you can:
  • Purchase other skins on WOW Skins
  • Withdraw to bank card
Withdrawal arrival time:
  • Debit card: 2 business days or instant

Why can't I see my inventory?

WOW Skins crawls Steam inventory like a search engine. Sometimes crawling may have blind spots.
Solution: Install our browser extension (Chrome or Firefox) to make your skins display immediately.

Can I reverse a transaction?

We strongly advise against this. Once you reverse a sale, your account will be permanently banned from WOW Skins.

Can I request a refund?

If you believe your bank account was fraudulently charged, please submit sufficient and complete evidence to us for appeal.
Please don't initiate any chargebacks - chargebacks will result in permanent account ban. We strongly recommend contacting customer service for proper handling before initiating chargebacks.

What is "withdrawable balance"?

What withdrawal methods are supported?

WOW Skins currently only supports bank card withdrawals. You can withdraw your withdrawable balance to your debit card.

WOW Skins doesn't profit from deposit and withdrawal service fees — all service fees are charged by payment service providers. WOW Skins only charges sellers listing skins a 2% service fee with no other hidden fees.

How are fees calculated?

Deposits:
  • Actual payment = Entered deposit amount × (1+3.5%) + $0.30
  • Actual arrival = Entered deposit amount
  • Example: Enter $100 deposit → fee 3.5% + $0.30 → you pay $103.80 → balance receives $100
Sales:
  • Actual income = Sale price × (1-2%)
  • Example: List $100 skin → fee 2% → after sale you receive $98
Withdrawals:
  • Arrival amount = Withdrawal amount × (1-2.9%)
  • Example: Enter $100 withdrawal → fee 2.9% → arrives $97.10
